Meet Dr. Mila Cohen
Dr. Mila was born in Kiev, Ukraine raised in Brooklyn and is currently residing in the suburbs of New Jersey. She cherishes her Brooklyn roots, but also feels lucky to call the spacious suburbs of New Jersey home for her and her family. Her passion for pediatric dentistry was sparked during an outreach in Grenada. It was there that her mission became to provide the best pediatric dentistry to young patients.
The Professional Side:
True Dental Care’s Dr. Mila Cohen attended NYU where she earned her BA in Sociology with a Minor in Biology and Chemistry before receiving her doctorate degree from the NYU College of Dentistry. After graduating with her DDS, Dr Mila went on to receive specialty training for pediatric dentistry at a hospital in Brooklyn where she served as chief resident.
Dr. Mila values the opportunity to build trust with her patients and LOVES winning patients over. She strives to arm every young patient who fears a visit to the dentist with knowledge. “The best remedy for fear is to gain knowledge. What brings me joy is patients smiling after a visit because I know we are building lifelong healthy habits and a great relationship with oral care.”
Dr. Mila’s passion for giving knowledge does not just stop with her young patients, she also founded True Dental Assistant School as a way to give back and educate students who may not otherwise be able to afford to further their education. The dental assistant school is set to open its doors in Jersey City, NJ in September 2021.

The Personal Side:
Dr. Mila and her husband Dr. Dan are raising their two girls in the suburbs of New Jersey. As you can imagine, there is lots of pink and glitter in the house. Her older daughter will be entering 1st-grade fall of 2021 and their youngest daughter will be starting preschool. Their new favorite family pastime is skiing.
Dr. Mila also loves to hike and be outdoors with her family. They love camping and visiting different state parks. Her favorite neighborhood in Jersey City is Hamilton Park where she enjoys visiting the ice cream shops, having a day in the park, and dining at many great local restaurants. Favorite Movie: The Gladiator Current Family Pet: 3 fish named Ben, Garcia, and Nirvana or Princess, Glitter, and Sparkles depending on which family member you ask. Favorite Cuisine: Pizza and pasta for days!
